Russia’s Sberbank sells unit to Slovakia’s Penta Investments
MOSCOW, Dec 17 (PRIME) -- Top Russian lender Sberbank has sold a 99.5% stake in its unit Sberbank Slovensko to Slovakia’s Penta Investments in compliance with its revised international strategy, the bank said in a statement on Thursday without disclosing the sum of the deal.
“Sberbank Europe AG, a subsidiary of Sberbank Group, has signed a contract to sell a 99.5% stake in Sberbank Slovensko to Penta Investments, it said.
Binder Groesswang provided legal support to the seller.
Sberbank owns a 100% stake in Sberbank Europe AG, which operates in 11 countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
